Orthodontics
Currently the orthodontics treatment is available not only for the schoolchildren but also for adults. Sometimes the orthodontics treatment is only the preliminary stage for the prosthesis or implants treatment.

The main aim of the orthodontic braces is the correction of the occlusal defects. Using the volume of the force of the braces that works on teeth and jaws it can result in the teeth shift and a certain growth shape.
We can distinguish two types of the orthodontic braces, permanent and removable.

The removable braces are put on and taken out from the mouth by the patient himself. Their most efficient impact is at the developmental age, i.e. at the period of time when children and teenagers are growing. Depending on the occlusal defect we apply various modifications of the removable braces.
The period of treatment with removable braces depends on the kind of defect, patient age, and amount of hours spent on wearing the braces. Wearing it only at night is insufficient. To expect effects the removable braces must be wore at least 6-8 hours a day and the entire night.
The orthodontic braces consist of many kinds of locks / metal, ceramic or plastic / glued to the patient teeth. The dentist glues the locks at the dentistry surgery, thus the patient cannot take them off during the entire treatment.
The permanent braces put continuous and low pressure on the teeth but in connection with the 24 hour influence on them the treatment effects are visible quite fast, even after 2-4 months.
Metal and ceramic locks has the same function and effect, the esthetic seems to be the main difference between them. The ceramic locks are made-up in the teeth colour thus are almost not noticeable during the conversation.
The permanent braces requires more discipline and very careful oral cavity hygiene. The doctor informs the patient what kind of cleaning methods and toothbrushes to use and make the teeth and braces cleaning more efficient.
Before the permanent braces are put all teeth have to be cured and potential tartar removed. The permanent braces are ideal to exposing the teeth kept in the bone, and placing them in the right position. After a surgical exposition of the tooth kept in the bone we join him with the permanent braces by means of special traction with the arch in the right position.
As mentioned before - The permanent braces can be applied to the patients of all ages. The teeth and parodontium condition is very important. That is why the permanent braces can be applied even at 50ties.
